    The Argenta Community Theater in North Little Rock will be the site for the 4th Annual Meeting of the Arkansas Community Theater Association (ARCTA). The event, scheduled on Saturday, November 19 from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., will offer networking opportunities, educational sessions, and other activities.

    Workshops include risk management, writing a play about your community, grant writing preparation, fundraising, developing youth programs, theater criticism from both sides of the footlights, building better schools through the creative process, do’s and don’ts of directing, and more.

    The registration fee includes all workshops, lunch at the Starving Artist Café in North Little Rock, and other activities. The registration fee is $35.00 for an individual or $100 for an organization. ARCTA encourages individuals who represent theater groups, who may not be affiliated with a specific organization, or who may simply be interested in networking with community theaters from across the state to attend the Annual Meeting.

    The Argenta Community Theater is located at 405 Main Street in North Little Rock off of Interstate 30 in historic Argenta District of Norht Little Rock.

  • Dr. Sam Taggert, playwright and novelist

  • Ashley Edwards, Drama Department Chair at Northwest Arkansas Community College

  • Claire Haun, community activist and grant writer

  • Eric Harrison, feature writer and reviewer for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • Liz Parker, Business Manager for UCA Theater and Board Member of Conway Comm. Arts Assoc.

  • Daphne Shoppach, Charlotte Hammons, Krista Hancock & Angela Morgan, Young Players of the Royal Theater

  • Janet Harney, Expansion Arts Program Manager of the Arkansas Arts Council

  • Rick Collins, Program Developer with the DHS - Division of Community Service and Nonprofit Support.
